Maria A. G. Soler

Short Bio:

Maria A. G. Soler, is Full Professor of Physics, Universidade de Brasilia, Brasilia, Brazil. Professor Soler was a post-doc fellow at Material Science Engineering Department, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, U.S.A. and she received Doctoral degree in Electric Engineering, from University of S�o Paulo, Brazil. Professor Soler has been Director of the Extension School at Universidade de Brasilia and Vice-Director of the Institute of Physics, Universidade de Brasilia. She is an Editor of Journal of Nanofluids (American Scientific Publishers) and a member of the International Advisory Panel of Materials Research Express, IOP Science. She has written 04 book chapters, published more than 50 research articles in peer reviewed International Journals, and recently delivered 15 invited talks/ lectures in different Conferences/Institutions/Universities around the world. Currently, she acts as the coordinator of several research projects, and supervises undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-docs. Professor Soler main research interests include nanofluids, nanomaterials (iron oxide and gold nanoparticles), their assembly as functional nanostructured systems, and applications in energy conversion, storage devices, drug delivery systems, and chemical sensors.
